Welcome to the Longford Blessing of the Harvest Festival Website!
First held in 1995 the Blessing of the Harvest Festival has become an annual social occasion for the town and the surrounding community.
The 2013 Festival celebrated the 200th Anniversary of European settlement in the regions surrounding Longford, first named Norfolk Plains. The Festival reflected the growth of the area and its agricultural production. Last years festival (2014), celebrated the 200th anniversary of the town of Longford itself.
This year’s festival promises to be a fun-filled family day featuring a grand parade through Longford, people in period costumes, music, games, competitions dating back to feudal times, stalls, and a wide variety of produce on sale.
The Festival is proudly managed and promoted by the Rotary Club of Longford.
